traditional Kitchen Cabinets Painted Smokey Green- contemporary counter and backsplash
This kitchen had ample space and storage, but was dated and not as functional as the owner would have liked. The overhead cabinets and soffits were removed, opening up the kitchen that was cut into thirds by the soffits and overhead cabinets over the cook island and over the peninsula. Now it features an uninterrupted view of the eat in bar and the dining area for casual entertaining. The cabinets are now to the ceiling and cabinets were added above the sink, where previously it was only a soffit. All of the interior base cabinets feature easy to access roll out shelves, deep drawers for pots and pans, garbage cabinet next to sink and two lazy susan's are utilized in the corner blinds that previously could not be accessed. The three, yes three, pantry bi-fold doors and trim were removed and replaced with bead board doors and trim that integrated them with the new cabinetry design. The bead board is repeated on the buffet and on the peninsula. A glass front angular cabinet at end of wall cabinets above the peninsula and open shelving in the wall cabinets over buffet, add visual interest and allow display for collectibles.

Below left is an example of a computer rendering and right is the completed cabinetry. Most clients find it very helpful to see a rendered visual of the design concept. This office break room came out perfectly as designed.
Slide show below shows some of the drawings that you would receive for your new design. This client had a lot of structural changes to fulfill the list of needs and wants. Hopefully I will have photos of the finished project, which is about a year out. This was an exciting project for me as the majority of kitchens and baths in this region are quite traditional and as you can see this is a very contemporary design.
